Dr. Kieran Mwasha Mwazo is a board-certified cardiologist and Heart Failure (HF) specialist based in Mombasa, Kenya, transitioning his 15+ years of clinical expertise towards improving HF outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa. He is the Founding Lead of the pioneering Kenya Heart Failure Registry, establishing a national data platform to address critical gaps in epidemiology and care access. Currently a PhD candidate at Karolinska Institute, he researches scalable HF models for low-resource settings. Dr. Mwazo has demonstrable impact: he established Coastal Kenya's first public cardiac catheterization lab, launched the subsidized Bi-Cross Heart Solutions clinic network, and integrated POCUS/telehealth at Coast General Hospital, reducing HF readmissions by 30%.
